Another Wonderful Day to Remember
Our traditional summer picnic is now behind us, and we are taking home wonderful memories, smiles, and the joy of spending another special day together. 💚
This time, we gathered in record numbers — from the youngest to the oldest — and together took a boat from Matinkylä to the beautiful island of Iso Vasikkasaari.
Time Together on the Island
Upon arriving at the island, we were welcomed by Miša, who had already prepared and lit the fire, so everything was ready for a lovely picnic and time together. This was followed by welcoming words from the trip organizers — Miša, Kristina, and Simonas.
A special adventure was prepared for our youngest participants — a Treasure Hunt! 🎈
Divided into two teams, Team Bunnies and Team Little Birds, the children worked together to solve puzzles and search for the treasure. They had no fewer than ten puzzles to solve, and after successfully completing the challenge, they were rewarded with well-deserved prizes! 🏆🎁
A big thank you to Maja, who created this fun and creative game and brought so much joy to our youngest participants. ❤️
Barbecue and Special Flavours 🔥
Meanwhile, the barbecue was in full swing. Simonas made a special effort to prepare a unique treat for our guests — elk ćevapi, bringing together our culinary tradition and Finnish flavours in a delicious and interesting way.
And then came the moment we were all looking forward to — games for both young and old! 😄
We competed in the traditional sack race, followed by a spoon-and-egg race. The youngest participants showed their skills first, followed by the older ones in their own category.
There was plenty of competitive spirit, cheering, laughter, and many fun moments!
A Day Full of Smiles ❤️
The sunny weather and beautiful island provided the perfect setting for our gathering. We spent the day filled with laughter, conversations, joy, and positive energy.
It was another wonderful opportunity to meet with old friends, as well as to get to know some new ones.
A huge thank you to everyone who came, participated, helped, and contributed to making this trip another beautiful event that we will remember for a long time.
