Dear lovers of literature, culture, and tradition,

It is our exceptional pleasure to invite you to a unique lecture titled “KANTELE and GUSLE”, which will take place on August 6th, 2026, at 8 PM at the Oodi Library, group room 4. Although geographically distant, Finns and Serbs share a deep and rich tradition of oral tradition that has shaped their national identities. The theme of the lecture is Finnish and South Slavic oral epic poetry.

The lecturer is Mr. Marko Stojiljković, a researcher from the Institute for Recent History of Serbia. Please note that the lecture will be held in English.
